A member of the SCR Crew who like Tamsier strongly believes in the preservation of the Traditional African religions and has no fear voicing it. A man with strong views and no one is safe from his tongue. Dimlé means "help" in Seereer but when used sarcastically it could means "for goodness sake, give me a break". They do not call him Dimlé for nothing. You've been warned.
A little bit about the man and his shows
Dimlé Sène is a student and as of 2013, has been reading molecular biology and humanities. His plan is to become a Medical Doctor by obtaining a Ph.D in medicine. Dimlé is very passionate about the medical profession with a strong desire to help others and make a difference after his graduation.
Dimlé started learning the Saafi-Saafi language from his Saafi friends in the USA. Following his visit to Senegal, he took additional lessons with Professor Issa Laye Thiaw who taught him how to speak, read and write Saafi-Saafi properly. He is now a fluent speaker of Saafi-Saafi and is one of the younger generation playing a pivotal role in writing this language and preserving Seereer-Saafi traditions.
Dimlé was the one who redesigned the the Seereer Resource Centre's current logo and by extention Seereer Radio's own logo. He has contributed several Seereer cultural videos to the Seereer Resource Centre (SRC). On behalf of the SRC, Dimlé also negotiated with some copyright holders to grant the SRC permission to use their videos relating to Seereer culture.
As a member of the SRC Crew who is known for his frank, insightful and strong views especially on matters relating to Seereer/Saafi and African religion and culture, he was brought into to Seereer Radio by Tamsier.
You can listen to Tamsier live on :
NB: Due to his tight schedule, Dimlé sometimes makes occasional appearances on the Cosaan Seereer show. Hopefully in the not too distant future he will join the Seereer Radio team on a more frequent and permanent basis.
